V948 & Number Plates

A V948 DVLA Number Plate Auhorisation Certificate is not required, but is sometimes sent when registering a Lambretta in the UK for the first time.  x3 arrived with my registrations and shortly after I received the V5C document.

To obtain a new number plate, you will need to take your registration V5C document to an authorised number plate maker.  Somewhere like Halfords can supply them.  I have not used these yet, but other suppliers and their links can be seen below, for a more classic style looking number plate:
