Lambretta LD 4 pole stator system
Ohms reading on a 1954 Lambretta LD
Ignition Coil
Four pole stator coil.
Image shows the ignition (two pole) coil part.
The multi meter Black cable (COM) is touching a clean area of the 2 pole.
The multi meter (Ohms) Red end is touching the solder part. There was previously a (Red) cable connected to this which connected the ignition coil to the condensor. This is missing in the image as the red cable fell off when touched. The image shows the Red Multi Meter (Not the tip, but the centre area) being held on the small solder area where the Red cable (that connects to the condensor) would normally be soldered.

Image showing Ohms Setting at 0.49, after crossing the cables together.

Summary:
Deducting 0.49 from 1.43 from 0.43 shows the true reading of 0.94. The Ohms reading is therefore within expected parameters of around 1 Ohms
