The purpose of this page is to provide information on the Lambretta LD Kick Start.

Problems – Kickstart lever removed from Lambretta and when putting back on, it is stuck solid. Lambretta will not kick over and if bump starting, there appears to be noise coming from the kickstart housing.

Possible solution: Using an allen key, to hold the cap on the shaft, wind it until the kick start is back on the spline.  This will park the starting gear to coincide with the cut out in the gear. It is recommended to dismantle and see / understand how it works beforehand.
