MOT Excempt & V112 Form
Changes introduced in May 2018
Vehicles do not need an MOT if
the vehicle was built or first registered more than 40 years ago
no ‘substantial changes’ have been made to the vehicle in the last 30 years, for example replacing the chassis, body, axles or engine to change the way the vehicle works

V112 Form
Form V112 is available for vehicle owners who run vehicles which are exempt from MOT testing, and must be produced in place of an MOT certificate with an application for a vehicle licence (tax disc).
If your vehicle is exempt from MoT testing you will need to fill in this form and produce it when you tax your vehicle.
The V112 form is available at main stream post offices.
