LD Side Panels General Information

TBC – if these are 1950 to 1952 or 1953 to 1954 panels.  There is a one inch length difference and the shape is also slightly different.

125 LC / LD MK1 1950 to 1952 or 1953 to 1954 (With carburettor / inspection flap information) 

  • LD Side Panel Left – OEM number – 08181186 (INNOCENTI)
  • LD Side Panel Right – OEM number – 08181181 (INNOCENTI) (Without inspection flap)
  • LD Side Panel Right OEM number – 08181182 (INNOCENTI) (With inspection flap)

MK II & MK III – 125LD / 150LD 

TBC –   Listed in the 2013 Rimini Parts Catalogue  as “LAMBRETTA 150 D-LD ’54-’56 125 LD ’56 125-150 LD ’57”.  However, in the 2018 Parts Catalog, they were replaced (? tbc) with the newer numbers seen in the next section:

MK III 125LD (1956 onwards) 150LD – 1954 to 1958 

Point to note:  The LD150 was first built in October 1954.  There is only one side panel available for any LD150.  OEM numbers below.  This also fits the LD125 from 1956 onwards.

Thsi page has been added to aid people who may have purchased an LC / LD without side panels and understanding the differences.  I hope it will aid you with purchasing or finding the correct side panels and identify the differences and which ones to look for.

Summary:

  • 1950 / 1952 Lambretta LC / LD (With carb inspection flap) – the length is 31.5 inches.  It is also identified with using a single “Teleflex” gear cable (See image below).  You can see by the images below, the engine change.  The engine is bolted to the frame.  The frame number is located on the other side of the frame on these models.
  • 1953 – 1954 ( & maybe a 1955) Lambretta LD (These also have a carb inspection flap) – the length is 32.5 inches. They can also be identified with using a single “Teleflex” gear cable (See image below).  The frame number is located on the frame in the usual place.
  • 1955 – 1958 Lambretta LD ( & 1954 LD150) – length is 31.5 inches. They can also be identified with having regular twin gear cables (See image below)
