Hi John,

Email received with thanks.

New post added to the website in case my email get sent to your Spam folder.  Please check your Spam email if you did not receive my reply email.

Sorry to report that the Project Update pages are for my records only, to try to keep a track of some of the work I’m doing on them.

I have a lot more updates to do on the website for public viewing with last summers works, which should be coming in the next few months.

To aid further with your manuals and reading, I have just scanned in the Lambretta Service Mans book, in case you did not have this already. It also covers your other Lambrettas. It can be found as a News Post (Right Side) or in the same area you found the other manuals. There is a 170mb PDF file and a 11MB PDF file. It’s the same manual, but one is compressed. Consider downloading the larger file if you can.

I’m not sure how much experience you have with LD’s or if your crank is already out. I assume that the piston is not seized. Please be prepared for issues getting the mag flange off. Unfortunately, there is no easy way and heat (Via a blow torch), soaking in diesel for a long time, use of a mag flange removal tool and be careful as you may strip one or two (of the three) mag flange securing bolts or threads that hold the tool on (when tightening the big center bolt to prize it off with a bang as well) – (Your SI mag flange removal tool should fit), time and patience aid in this area.

Please do not hesitate to reach back out if I can aid any further.

All the best and I hope the restore goes well.

Happy travelling!

John
